Who I Work With.
I work with a carefully limited number of students each year, allowing me to provide personalised support and build genuine relationships with every family.
Whether a student is striving for a top grade, rebuilding confidence after a difficult experience, or simply looking for greater enjoyment in mathematics, my aim is always the same: to help them achieve their full potential.
I offer one-to-one tuition for:
GCSE Mathematics
A Level Mathematics
IB Mathematics
Personalised one-to-one tuition that builds understanding, confidence and lasting success.
My Approach.
Understanding builds confidence.
Mathematics is a building-block subject. When understanding is secure, confidence grows naturally.
Many students come to me feeling overwhelmed because they have gaps in their knowledge. Often they have learned procedures without fully understanding why they work. My role is to identify those gaps, rebuild the foundations and help students join the dots.
Every lesson is carefully tailored to the individual student. There is no "one size fits all" approach because every young person learns differently.
What You Can Expect.
Personalised Lessons
Every lesson is planned around the individual student.
Building Confidence
Developing self-belief alongside mathematical understanding.
Expert Guidance
More than 25 years of classroom and tutoring experience.
Long-Term Progress
Helping students build lasting skills rather than short-term tricks.
What Lessons
Feel Like.
My aim is to create lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and thinking deeply.
Lessons are calm, structured and encouraging. I want students to leave each session feeling that mathematics makes a little more sense than it did an hour earlier.
Over time, that confidence grows into independence.
One of the most rewarding moments in tutoring often comes around the third or fourth lesson. Students begin to relax. The ideas that once felt disconnected start to join together, and they become more willing to have a go without fearing they'll get it wrong.
As confidence grows, progress gathers momentum. Students don't simply become better at mathematics, they begin to believe that they can succeed.
